Sue Sullivan, RDH — Gurnee

Sue started her career as a dental assistant for a periodontist. This experience provided a solid foundation of knowledge and piqued her interest in dental hygiene.

During hygiene school at Harper College, she was a student teacher in radiology and developed a program for radiographic recognition of dental landmarks and diagnosis of disease.

After graduating she began practice in Highland Park, then came to work for Northwestern Dental Group in 1994. She regularly takes continuing education courses, and is certified in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide administration.

In her spare time, she plays competitive pool and keeps her trophies at work. Sue also discovered that being “Mimi” to her three-year old granddaughter is the most rewarding job.

Philosophy of Care

“Through compassion and education, I enjoy helping people take better care of their teeth. I try to create a relaxing and sometimes even fun atmosphere so my patients have a positive dental experience.”
